Snehdeep Singh Kalsi at The Piano Man, Delhi

The Delhi chapter of Snehdeep Singh Kalsi’s India Tour 2026 unfolded at The Piano Man, Eldeco Centre, on 4 October 2026, bringing together an evening of Ghazal, Sufi, Classical and Folk music. It was the kind of performance that kept changing its mood without ever losing its soul - intimate one moment, playful the next, and deeply rooted throughout.

The evening began with a classical frame

Suhavi Kalsi opened the evening, setting an unhurried musical tone before Snehdeep joined his six-piece ensemble on stage. Beginning with the depth of Raag Des, the performance gradually moved into the world of Ghazal and poetry, with familiar compositions creating an immediate connection between the stage and the room.
What followed was not a fixed journey through genres, but a fluid movement between them. Snehdeep’s repertoire allowed the evening to travel from the emotional weight of classic Ghazals to softer, more contemporary moments, while the arrangements gave each transition its own character.

When the stage became a family affair

One of the evening’s most delightful moments came when Snehdeep and Suhavi Kalsi returned to the stage together for a Punjabi Tappe duet. Their exchange brought a completely different energy into the room - playful, spontaneous and rooted in the musical tradition they were drawing from.
It was a moment that felt particularly at home in a mehfil: music being shared rather than simply performed, with two voices answering each other and the audience becoming part of the exchange.

A set that refused to stay in one mood

From the romance and ache of Ghazal to Punjabi Folk influences, Sufi expression and the spaciousness of the Grand Piano segment, the performance continued to reveal different dimensions of Snehdeep’s sound. There were moments of quiet listening, moments that invited the audience to sing along, and eventually a stretch of audience requests that allowed the evening to take an even more spontaneous turn.

The music kept opening outward

By the time the extended set arrived, with the audience asking for more, the night had moved well beyond its planned boundaries. The closing stretch brought together some of the evening’s most loved moods before ending with a Ghazal Medley - an apt finale for a performance that had travelled through so many shades of Indian music.

The musicians behind the mehfil

Snehdeep was accompanied by his six-piece live band, featuring Rusheel, Surjeet Singh, Hiren Solanki, Shashi Bhushan and Rajat Patel. Their playing gave the evening its musical depth, allowing the arrangements to move comfortably from Classical passages to Ghazal, Folk and Sufi textures without breaking the flow.
The Piano Man’s intimate setting made that interplay especially effective. The poetry remained close, the musicians were part of the room rather than distant from it, and every shift in the performance could be felt almost immediately.

One night, many versions of Snehdeep

Delhi, in the end, did not get just one version of Snehdeep Singh Kalsi. It got the classical Snehdeep, the Ghazal singer, the folk storyteller, the Sufi voice and the performer willing to follow where the room wanted the music to go.
That is perhaps what made this stop on India Tour 2026 feel like a true mehfil - not because it followed a particular format, but because the music kept making space for everyone in the room.
